Weed-Free Beds
Do you have a family house with a garden, but gardening is not your hobby? Let's explore how to achieve a visually pleasing garden without the need for constant care. Perennial beds offer an ideal solution - there is no space for weeds in the beds, eliminating the need for weeding. One significant advantage of such a bed is that it blooms all year round, and its colors and variety change throughout the year. In the spring, the bed only needs trimming, and the cycle repeats regularly. Not sure which perennials to choose? We are happy to advise you.

Substrates and Mulching
The proper selection of substrates and mulching is also crucial. Sunny beds are most often established as gravel beds because they need to be adequately permeable. The species composition resembles steppe areas dominated by ornamental grasses, but we also have spring bulbs and light- and drought-tolerant perennials. These beds are then mulched with sharp-edged gravel (not rounded). If a weed seed falls onto the gravel, the heated gravel dries it out, preventing weed growth. For shade-loving perennials, we use finely crushed bark as mulch. The bark not only prevents weed growth but also looks good, allowing individual plants to stand out beautifully. We use the bark only in the first year, as we want the plants to spread, establish themselves, and create a continuous surface in the bed. A continuously established surface represents the principle of low-maintenance beds. Therefore, it's important to choose species that can create such a community and do not compete with each other.

Continuous Lawn Areas
If you want to have a lawn in your garden, it's important for it to form a continuous area, without small green islands or too many solitary trees or shrubs disrupting it. While mowing is inevitable, continuous areas make mowing easier, and you don't have to maneuver the mower around trees or shrubs. In this case, you can also opt for a robotic mower.
The selection of grass seed mixture is also important. If you want a classic recreational lawn and don't want to water it regularly, we recommend choosing seeds with a small proportion of herbs (perennials) that can cover dry periods and increase the site's biodiversity.
You can admire the garden as a painter's canvas in a row house in Beroun. In this case, even mowing the lawn takes little time.
Automatic Irrigation
Are you dreading the idea of dragging hoses around the garden and spending long minutes watering? We recommend an automatic irrigation system for clients like you. Firstly, you don't have to remember when you last watered, and in general, you can leave this part of garden care out of your mind. Additionally, automatic irrigation is set to operate during periods when it's not too hot, and the water won't evaporate quickly, delivering water directly to the plants. For example, very early in the morning when the watered lawn won't bother garden users. Regarding flower beds, the selection of plants capable of withstanding short-term drought without the need for irrigation is important. However, during prolonged heat, automatic irrigation comes in handy here too. It's ideal if the main water source for automatic irrigation is a rainwater tank where you collect rainwater from the roof of the house. If you have access to a well, you can use it to fill the tank. If you're forced to use tap water, at least install a separate water meter so you don't have to pay wastewater fees.
Regular Maintenance
It's ideal to schedule one-time professional maintenance in the spring and autumn, and you'll have a garden with virtually no work.
