What does the kindergarten garden have to meet?
We dare to say that preschool children spend a lot of time in the garden of the kindergarten, which is why the garden is as important to them as the school building itself. This garden inevitably includes a children's playground, which must above all be safe - this is determined by the law and relevant standards. The law does not neglect even the announcement of tenders for design and implementation. Hygienic requirements for children's playgrounds are established by Act No. 238/2011 Coll. and requirements for surfaces and impact zones standard ČSN EN 1177.
But what the law does not remember is the aesthetic, educational and useful quality. It turns out that if children grow up in a nice environment, it shapes their good taste, which then suits them as adults. How to make a garden out of land?
As we have already said, the law does not remember a tasteful and high-quality nursery school garden, so it is good if the founder himself remembers it. We had the opportunity to participate in the designs of several kindergarten gardens - we were able to create a space with thought and aesthetic value even with a limited budget. And above all, a space that entertains children and supports their creativity.
At the kindergarten in Chotětov, we had a smaller budget available. But it turned out that even with less money you can create a nice and fun space. Calling in an experienced landscape architect can save money and invest it in a direction that pays off.
There may also be subsidies along the way, which will significantly help you with financing. It is important to establish a clear vision of the created space at the beginning and pack the individual elements into this vision.
It was European subsidies that helped in the case of the Přístavní Kindergarten in Stříbro, where we created a garden richly equipped and processed to the smallest detail. Holidays by the sea became a unifying theme, so children can find a lighthouse, hammocks or a treasure island. It was also possible to build large residential green roofs.
