Park In Roudnice n. L - Awarded 1st Place

Our landscaping design of Park Na Kolecku was selected as a winner by the municipality of Roudnice nad Labem out of three projects. This is not a revitalisation project of an existing park but a brand new landscaping park design in area which is currently a field on the outskirts of the town. This was an exciting opportunity for our Studio to participate in. New residential developments are being build all the time, however to be part of a birth of a new park is quite a unique opportunity, something not to be missed.

Our approach was to incorporate the motive of a circle and clouds of a local artist Otakar Nejedly into the composition. When designing the park we took advantage of fantastic views of the hill Rip as well as local spring Rudny. The space will be used as recreational grounds for the local residents who currently have nowhere to go. Our proposal was to incorporate variety of areas for locals to enjoy. Children’s playground with near by café for the younger families, dog’s playground for the pet lovers, orchard and romantic views for the dreamers as well as sport grounds and a brand new skate park for the ones who love to be active. However, the main purpose of this park is to create a new woodland to have somewhere to relax and to cool down on the hot summer day. A magic of transforming an ordinary field into a new woodland doesn’t happen overnight. Our dream is to create an enjoyable space for many years to come and for all.
