Opatova Garden

The reconstruction and extension of the old mill provided an opportunity of connecting the "Old" with the "New". The garden combines the nostalgia of former rural life with today's modern times. Traditional walnut planted in the yard with modern paving. Massive wooden pergola blending with the modern interior of the house. Old fruit trees at the end of the garden standing in contrast to contemporary flower beds with ornamental grass. The "Old" evokes fond memories and the "New" evokes the joy of family life.

The project was shortlisted for the Slovak Architecture Prize 2022.
