In 2025, we won 1st place in a two-phase urban planning and architectural competition together with UNIT architects and the DUA studio.
The subject of the competition was the design of a new multifunctional complex of buildings on Evropská Street, which forms the core of the design and is part of a broader “axis” design. The design included the entire Červený vrch Axis in a broader context, which connects the area around the Arabská Gymnasium to the Na Dlouhém lánu Elementary School. The entire axis thus connects individual places, to which we gave a new residential quality in the design and, thanks to the overall modifications and plantings, expanded the ecosystem services of the entire location. Throughout the area, emphasis was placed on pedestrian permeability (including barrier-free) and rainwater management.
A new park-like area with a generous residential lawn and a flowing water feature and a representative entrance to the school were created in the forecourt of the Arabská Gymnasium. A clearer and safer connection from the tram stop to the gymnasium is designed.
The surroundings of the existing Dransy building are newly adapted to create convenient access to the pedestrian crossing and tram stop and at the same time offer high-quality public space.
The new multifunctional complex of buildings on the south side of Evropská Street (CPI property) will become the new center of the Červeňák locality. It offers several forms of public space:
here we find the main square with a space for holding social events of neighborhood importance such as markets, winter skating rinks, etc. This square is connected to a shopping corso, which you can walk through the complex and descend via a wide staircase to a more intimate, local square with a restaurant and a social hall, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The park areas sloping down to the elementary school in Dlouhý Lán are then conceived mainly in connection with the slope of the terrain and the size of the various areas. The emphasis is placed primarily on convenient access and use of views of the valley. Each flat area then offers active enjoyment in the form of a play area for children and the elderly, meeting places or just a place to relax on a bench. Everyone will find their place here.
The entire Osa is then completed by a new attractive front area of the elementary school, which we expanded by removing the hedge barrier and offered it for stay and enjoyment not only to school students.
We want Červeňák to become a lively place for all residents who live and spend time here.
